Dear Friends,
This is a proof of life post that I’m writing to you from Indiana (which I wrote about here). I landed here a couple of weeks ago after a multi-day haul east (pictures below) and have been slowly settling in. The van is almost completely unpacked and cleaned out. I have made a list of all the little, loving repairs to tackle over the next couple of months. I am working on a consulting project until the middle of December. I haven’t worked in seven months, which has been such a blessing and time that I needed to rest after my mother’s passing. It feels grounding now to be sitting at a desk again and have my time blocked out by corporate tasks.
I am sharing the house with my dad, which has been peaceful so far and mostly non-political (except for a teensy heated discussion the night before the election), despite that he voted for Trump and I did not. I’m still processing that outcome. Actually, it’s not so much the outcome that I’m processing as much as the fact that I hid…
